Films which are not recognized

Thanks for this update - I was just logging in to ask for a status update on this and it was awesome to see that you all are actively and hard at work trying to get this resolved. Very much appreciate that!

I am also waiting for news, I made the update from 19th January but it not helps to solve the problem.

@all: Are there any more movies which are not recognized until now?

We are still actively looking into the issue, problem is, we don’t know EXACTLY yet what is causing it, and therefore it takes a lot of time.

hello everyone,

yesterday I wanted to see Iron Man with D-Box with some friends, the movie did not recognized. I changed the recognized tolerance in steps of 5 seconeds and I tried to start the film with d-box, but it did not work. I tried to start the the movie more than 45 minutes
 Can anybody confirm that this movie will not recognized, too? Steve?

About the current situation on my side: We decided to buy d-box with 3 Jaymar seats after we received more information from our cinema installer about the complete list from d-box site (d-box catalogue) for example. Because there were so much movies with d-box support we decide to buy 3 seats (instead of 1 seat) and we looked forward to receive the Jaymar seats after a long time of about a half year.
Now we are not happy about this decision. Also because the problem with HaptiSync could not solved during last 5 month. We will now wait until the end of this month. If there will no solution until 31th march we will contact our installer to change into a working system HEMC or to find another solution.

thank you for reply. I hope D-Box could solve the problem during next time. The problem has been known for half a year, maybe more. D-Box spent a lot of time to offer new products in my opinion, so I doubt if your technical team really work hard on solving the problems with HaptiSync. We will wait until the end of this month and hope the problem can be solved then

Marc-Antoine, is it only Haptisync users that are having issues with the above-mentioned titles or do they not work on other controllers as well?

Sorry it took me a little while to confirm for you Sascha, but I also could not get Iron Man to recognize/work. I also completely understand the frustration as it is a complete let down to want to watch a D-BOX movie only to sit there and restart it multiple times and it not work
 been there done that. It would be nice to get a better understanding from the D-BOX team why these titles are having issues instead of just being told “we are working on it.” I have also been trying to be patient on this but I believe this was reported back in October/November of last year and we still have little to no resolution on this. It makes it hard to recommend product to friends and family especially at price point cause they eventually ask if I have any issues or problems with it and it isn’t the strongest selling point when I have to say “yes.”

Because we value transparency and especially your commitment to our products, let me chime in and be up front about 2 points:

I can confirm engineering is aware of the list of titles that do not get detected by our automatic content recognition technology. We had already completed a first round of investigations back then and concluded that it was deep in our core. We already have some ongoing R&D efforts to update this core with better performance and at the same time, to address those specific issues. Unfortunately, we’re not talking about a short-term deliverable. However, as we understand this is a growing pain, we will go back to the drawing board and see whether some intermediate workarounds are possible.

I would also like to confirm that the HaptiSync Hub, which is based on our latest custom hardware core, is part of the future for the company. It is just as capable as the HEMC but way more efficient and robust. The same core will be integrated into future products such as the D-BOX VIBE. The reason why most of those content issues are Hub-specific is because it is using an additional set of audio fingerprints that are not present on the HEMC. Nevertheless, be assured that the core software remains in full parity between the HEMC and the Hub – we remain committed to supporting both.

Hoping this gives some clarity until we resolve those issues. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Hello together,

because there are another 4 months gone after last information I wanted to ask if there are any new information from d-box until now because of very much not recognized titles.

Yesterday I tried the Movie “Gladiator”, the movie is recognized but no seat was in motion. I tried another movie, it works, I tried Glatiator another time and there is no motion from seats although the film is recognized. What kind of problem is that?

Hi @sascha.schnelker, This should be fixed in the upcoming release of Motion Core at the end of the summer.

You can add the following to the list of movies that are not recognized by hub theater chairs:

Red Eye
Lord of War
Dark Water

Myself and another user confirmed they would not recognize - if anyone else gets them to work let me know.

The Lord of the Rings The Rings of Power S01E01 gets recognized but there is no motion in my seats. Is that the same for everyone else?

No problems here, worked fine since the day of code release.

Thanks for confirming Marc. My Haptisync was acting a little wonky last night. I think a factory reset is in order.

Looks like the latest software update fixed some of the codes that weren’t being recognized. :+1:
